Ngo outlines strategy to fight child trafficking

Luanda – The Non-Governmental Organisation,  Candengues Unidos, promoted Friday in Luanda, a seminar on child trafficking, aimed at outlining strategies for prevention of the phenomenon during the Africa Football Cup of Nations, which Angola is to host in 2010.

 

Speaking to Angop, the NGO executive director, Doroteia Domingas, stressed that events like CAN2010 create favourable occasions for traffickers to lure for a fake a better life.


According to the director, other NGO started with awareness campaigns on prevention of the evil.

 

On strategies produced  during the meeting, Doroteia Domingos stressed that participants considered the need to use combined work with municipal administrations and networks of child protection.

 

In his turn, Gilberto Cabila, a member of the Association of Friends and Natives of Maianga, said that the seminar served to gain necessary knowledge for families on ways of identifying people associated with trafficking.
