EDEL warns of selective power curt during CAN2010

 

Luanda - The Luanda electricity distribution company (EDEL) has warned that it will carry out selective power cuts to indebted consumers during the African Cup of Nations (CAN2010), and recommends all customers to pay off their bills.


This was disclosed Friday to Angop by the advisor of the chairperson of the company’s board of directors, Lucas da Silva, who added that the company will act in accordance with its money-collecting programme, without harming the population.


“With the coming of the yearend and new year celebrations and the holding of CAN2010, it is good that indebted consumers visit our offices to regularise their situations in advance, or face penalty", warned the official.
