Luanda - Angolan minister of Family and Women Promotion, Genoveva Lino, left Tuesday for South Africa to attend on 27-29 October the 37th meeting of ministers for Gender and Women Affairs of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
Speaking to Angop, at Luanda's "4 de Fevereiro" International Airport, Genoveva Lino said that the meeting aims to harmonise policies associated with protocol on Gender and Development of the sub-regional body.
According to the Cabinet minister, the session’s working agenda also includes, among others, analysis of women in politics, women violence issue based on gender.
The meeting will approach themes on SADC gender action programme and analysis of report and information presented by the member states and secretariat of the regional organisation.
SADC comprises Angola, South Africa, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
