Adventist church reaffirms its support in solving social problems

Luanda – The pastor of the Adventist Church, Domingos Santiago, reaffirmed last Thursday in Luanda the commitment of his church to helping the Angolan government to seek solutions to elevate the quality of the citizens’ living standards.

Speaking to ANGOP at Luanda’s 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, the pastor said that the festive season is a moment of much reflection for clerics and the church should always work in partnership with the government to satisfy some economic, moral and social needs of the faithful.

“The Adventist church has been doing a lot of work to achieve the good of the society, such as the holding of campaigns of literacy programme, workshops with various themes of counselling works to youths in schools”, he said.

To Angolans, the pastor recommends “more work” so that we may have a better society with professional youths who were redeemed from addictions and ills that affect different sections of the population.
