Crocodile kills teenager at Quipungo

Quipungo - A 13-year old boy was killed by a crocodile on Monday at Sendy dam, Quipungo district, southern Huila province, bringing to two the number of human victims in that circumstances this year only.

 

The incident happened when the boy, identified by Sousa, who lived in the area for the last three years, visited Calonga river to swim, together with other peers.

 

The mutilated body of the victim was found Tuesday by fishermen, 24-hours after the attack.

 

According to the local authorities, other animals like dogs, cattle and pigs have  fallen prey to crocodiles in the area this year.
