Over 90 families expelled from DRC return to Bengo


Caxito – At least 97 families of Bengo origin returned to the province on Sunday evening, from Zaire province, after being expelled from Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).


 
Among a total of 1,524 people, the group was welcomed by the deputy governor of Bengo, Farel Van-Dúnem, who promised to help them.


 
According to the provincial coordinator of Supporting Commission for Angolan People coming from DRC, Anastácia Vasconcelos, most of them belong to Nambuangongo district (819), Ambriz (590), Dande (106) and Dembos (09).


 
They will stay in the supporting centre of Lifune (Dande district).

 

In the place there are already tents, health centres, bathrooms, sanitation office and a police station.
