Minister encourages women to study social sciences

Luanda - The Angolan minister of Science and Technology, Cândida Teixeira, advised Sunday in Luanda, Angolan young women to engage in training, especially in courses of social sciences, for the country’s continuous growth.

Speaking to Angop at Angola’s Divas gala, Cândida Teixeira, said that instead of choosing easy courses, women should opt for subjects related to mathematics, because in this area, females might make success.

“Students should dedicate to courses like physics, chemistry and geology, since in this areas, with engagement, a good work can be developed”, stated.

Regarding the 2009 Angola Divas gala, in which she was one of the candidates for the “Divas of the year” category, Cândida Teixeira recognised the relevance of the event while women are considered generators.
