Donation of books shows ties between Angola and US

Luanda – The deputy minister if Culture, Luís Kanjimbo, said Friday in Luanda that the donation of books by Angolan writer, Óscar Ribas, to the United States of America, shows the good state of relations between Angola and the US.

The official who represented the Culture minister, Rosa Cruz e Silva, at the ceremony, stressed that the donation came to reinforce existing co-operation between the two peoples, which can be done through social gestures.

According to the deputy minister, the Óscar Ribas University’s initiative also shows that researchers, lecturers and students can contribute to cultural ties and their consolidation.

Luís Kanjimbo stressed that that is a reason for pride that the Culture Ministry has re-edited the work by one of Angola’s most prominent writer and researcher.
