Cuvelai river basin regulation analysed

Ondjiva - Matters related to the regulation of hydro-graphic basin of Cuvelai river to prevent eventual floods was debated on Wednesday in Ondjiva city, the capital of Cunene province, Angop has learnt.

 

The meeting was carried out by the provincial council of auscultation and social concertation of the region, under the leading of the governor António Didalelwa, and outlined the measures to increase works towards this regulation and designed to recover other infrastructures.

 

On the occasion, the governor said that the gathering also served to get ideas that contribute to a better materialisation of tasks concerning the construction of dykes for protection and dislocation of waters proceeding from Cuvelai river.

 

The event was attended by government members and police officials and religious entities.
