Ondjiva – The director of the National Children Institute (INAC) in southern Cunene province, Hélder dos Santos, Tuesday in Ondjiva, urged the members of the Network of Protection and Promotion of Child Rights to improve their knowledge in order to strengthen the execution of politicise and programmes for the welfare of minors.
Speaking at the opening of the seminar on Protection and Promotion of the Child Rights, the official spoke of the need for a greater participation of members to in checking the degree of accomplishment of the 11 commitments on children.
Hélder dos Santos added that the seminar aims at informing the participants on various issues affecting children and on the interpretation of the legal protection of children.
Factors that determine the good and bad development of children, characteristics and evaluation of partners, definition, role and contribution of members in the effective implementation of the 11 commitments, among other things, are part of the programme.
