Angop told to invest more in opinion articles

Luanda - The director of the ruling MPLA party official newspaper EME, Fernando Tati, urged the professionals of the Angola Press Agency (Angop), to invest more in the publication of opinion articles, such as comments and editorials.

In brief statements, on the occasion of the celebrations of Angop’s 34th anniversary, on October 30, the official said that the agency has done a lot of news covering all areas.

While admitting that times and contexts have changed,  he recalled that in the past Angop invested a lot in the production of editorials and comments.

To him, Angop remains as a source of news for all, taking into account that people use it to obtain firsthand information to confirm data or consult articles.

The service that the Agency currently provides to the public has been made easier with the Internet, which also means that anyone can access information at any time and from everywhere, said Fernando Tati, a former Angop staff.
