Government builds provincial blood donation centres

Luanda - The deputy minister of Health, Carlos Alberto Massaca, Sunday here announced the construction of provincial blood donation centres.


Speaking to Angop, on the sidelines of the march to mark World Blood Donor Day, the government official explained that health units have been built, adding that the project includes smallest units in districts and communes in order to supply quality blood in huge quantity.


Carlos Alberto Massaca also said that the current National Blood Centre, located in Luanda, will be changed into institute.


Asked about the quality of blood donated in hospitals, Carlos Alberto Massaca guaranteed that in those areas the staff follow the rigorous criteria, in order to test diseases.
