Ndalatando – The minister of Health, José Vieira Dias Van-Dúnem, inaugurated Thursday in Camabatela commune, Municipality of Ambaca, in the northern Kwanza Norte Province, the new municipal hospital that was built as part of the reinforcement of specialized medical assistance for the population.
After cutting the ribbon, José Van-Dúnem visited the undertaking and got detailed explanations about the infrastructure.
The unit has 100 beds, ten wards divided into areas for administration, external consultations, Casualty ward, pharmacy, laboratory, areas of internment, two operation blocks, two delivery rooms, among others.
The minister said that the project will improve the technical conditions and comfort so that patients can be assisted with increasing quality and will provide medical services in various specialties such as ophthalmology, obstetrics, dentistry, physiotherapy, surgery room, paediatrics, gynaecology, among others.
The ceremony was attended by the governor of Kwanza Norte, Henrique Andre Junior, who said that with the inauguration of that infrastructure, the population of the municipality of Ambaca will get more benefit in terms of medical services.
The hospital is capable to employ about 300 worker, but for this initial stage it is recruiting 100 professionals of medicine, nurses, administrative and assistant staffs.
The hospital will also serve the people of the neighbouring towns of the provinces of Uige and Malanje.
