Caxito –The general hospital of Barra do Dande district, northern Bengo province, was unveiled on Friday by the Health Minister, José Van-Dúnem.
The inauguration of the hospital was witnessed by the provincial governor of Bengo, João Bernardo de Miranda.
The infrastructure, which lasted two years, worthed USD 13.7 million and will start to assist the public as from next Monday August 20, says the director general of the hospital, João das Necessidades Fernandes.
The hospital, with 75 bed for confinement, comprises two surgery blocks, emergency unit, mortuary, x-ray services, pediatrics and medicine, among others.
At least 10 Angolan physicians, 15 Cuban doctors and 40 health technicians to secure the assistance in the general hospital of Barra do Dande.
