Municipalisation of health improves services in Namacunde

Namacunde– The programme of municipalisation of the health services in Namacunde, southern Cunene province, will enable the expansion of the network from 10 to 14 units, seeking to improve the services provided to patients, Angop learnt.

According to Dominica Ndesipupata, under the programme that started in 2010, Namacunde gained a communal health centre this year, plus three medical posts, which shortens the distance many people used to walk for medical services.

The source added that two other medical posts are being built in the villages of Chiedi commune, plus another two near the border marks number 1, to prevent people from travelling to the neighbouring Namibia for treatment.
