Luanda - Breast-feeding Week in Luanda started Wednesday under the motto “Breast feeding until two years of age reduces diseases or infections and improve children nutritional state”.


This is contained in a communiqué issued by the provincial Health Department.


According to the note delivered to Angop, the week events running till August 7 is sponsored by the above mentioned institution, in cooperation with local hospitals with breast feeding teams.


The event will raise awareness and promotion of breast-feeding among women and families.


The activities linked to August 1 will be marked by lectures and debates in Luanda hospitals with the mentioned breastfeeding teams.
