Physician Association and insurance company sign accord on pension fund

Luanda - The Angolan Physicians Association (OMA) and the insurance company AAA signed on Friday in Luanda an accord on pension fund for physicians.

 
During the ceremony, the CEO of AAA, Carlos Manuel Vicente, said that pension fund will only benefit the professionals that are registered in the Angolan Physicians Association.

 
In addition, Carlos Manuel Vicente said that the membership plan is individual and to benefit from the pension fund the physician must have five years of membership in association.

 
On his turn, the chairman of Angolan Physicians Association, Carlos de Sousa, said members of the organization have advantages because it enables the development of a management strategy designed for the case of each member, given the characteristics of the universe of participants and the risk profile that characterizes it.

 
He said that the association will continue to defend the legitimate professional and social interests of the physicians, according to the principles defined in article 6 (b) of the status of the Physician Association, taking into account the values contained in the Constitution.
