Over 3,000 people undergo HIV/AIDS test

 

Ondjiva – At least 3,901 voluntary testing for HIV/AIDS were conducted during the first half of this year, at the counselling centre of voluntary testing of the General
Hospital of Ondjiva, southern Cunene province, more than 77 comparing to the previous period.

 
The fact was advanced to Angop by the hospital's clinical director, Daniel Ricardo, saying it resulted in 384 positive cases, 3,501 negative and 16 indeterminate.
 

According to him, the positive cases had a decrease of around 7.8 percent, a result of awareness of population on methods of transmission, prevention, condom distribution, flyers, and other educational means.
