Luanda – Angola expects to immunize five million women during the national vaccination campaign against tetanus, started on 15 July and that lasts 12 days. 

 
The information is expressed in a press note released by UN Children Fund (UNICEF) that reached Angop Wednesday.

According to the source, which quoted the People’s Wellbeing Inquiry (IBEP) data, only 55 percent of women in the country benefited from vaccination against tetanus during their last pregnancy.

 
“This calls for the need to boost the actions of vaccination against tetanus, targeting most women at the level of immunity of the Angolan women”, reads the document.

 
The campaign will cover women aged between 14 to 49 years.
