Mother, Neo-Natal Death Prevention Commission sworn in Wednesday

Luanda – The members of the National Maternal and Neo-Natal Death Prevention Commission will be sworn in on Wednesday in Luanda, during a ceremony chaired by the Health minister, José Van-Dúnem, in the presence of his Family and Women Promotion colleague, Genoveva Lino.

 

The information is contained in a United Nations Population Fund’s press note that reached Angop on Monday.

 

According to the note, the ceremony will take place under the celebrations of the World Population Day, July 11, followed by a meeting of the members of the said commission.


 
The source that adds no data about the commission, states that information and awareness campaigns will be conducted in Luanda’s high concentration places like markets.

 

The information and awareness campaigns are intended to provide the target group with elements about reproductive health and aids prevention methods.


 
The World Population Day is an annual event marked on July 11, to raise awareness. The world population is currently estimated at more than six billion people.
