Women urged to hold medical consultation

Chitembo - The Angolan Health minister, José Van-Dúnem, Wednesday in Chitembo municipality, central province of Bié, advised women to flock to prenatal and postpartum consultation in order to facilitate effective monitoring during pregnancy.

The government official, who was speaking during a contact with the people, urged pregnant women to carry out frequent consultations to enable proper growth of the child.

To José Van-Dúnem, the flow in the prenatal and postpartum may also contribute to the reduction of deaths due to lack of medical consultations in Bie province, especially in the municipality of Chitembo.

The event was attended by governor of Bie, Alvaro de Boavida Neto, members of the provincial government and senior officials of the Health Ministry.
