Trypanosomiasis research centre reopened

 

Luanda - The Centre for Research and alertness of Trypanosome (sleep
disease) and other Tropical Diseases (CRIV-DT) was reopened Friday in
Luanda by the minister of Health, José Van-Dúnem.

 
The CRIV-DT, which is devoted to the care of sleep disorders, malaria,
filariasis, and intestinal parasites shistosomiases, had restoration work to
better receive the patients and workers.


The centre has two laboratories, three rooms to house technicians, eight
wards, a waiting room, one intensive care unit, three doctor’s offices, laundry,
kitchen and dining.

 
After the works, estimated at over USD 20 million, the centre was reinforced
with four mobile units and medical examinations.
