Health technicians end training on acute malnutrition

Huambo – At least twenty eight health professionals today concluded a training on the integrated treatment of acute malnutrition in children under five years old, reads a press release issued by the UNICEF in Angola.

 

The four-day training course aims mainly at training technicians from 10 municipalities of the province of Huambo on the treatment of malnutrition and management of critical cases, to reduce the risk of illness and deaths of children.

 

This training is part of the national nutrition strategy for early childhood piloted by the National Health Service (DNS) of the Ministry of Health, with support from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and UNICEF.
