Luanda - The Fourth Congress of the Orthopaedic Society of Portuguese Language and the First Congress of the Angolan Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology will be held respectively on June 13 and 16 in Luanda, promoted by the Association of
Orthopaedics and Traumatology.
According to a press release issued by Doctors Order of Angola, which Angop had got access to on Tuesday, the meeting will be held under the theme "Road Casualties and Trauma" and has as its primary goal the approach of various forms of road accidents in the country with respect to trauma.
It expects to gather about 600 health professionals, including orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists, physical therapists, nurses and medical students.
Traumatology is the medical part that deals with fracture patients, whereas road accidents as the second cause of death in the country.
