Cazenga municipal hospital receives Cuban doctors

Luanda - At least 20 physicians from Cuba were presented Friday in Luanda, to municipal hospital of Cazenga, from a total of 60 who arrived in the country to cover some areas of Luanda province, in the framework of cooperation agreements between Angola and Cuba.


 
According to hospital director, Fernando Mendes, with additional 20 physicians, which makes it 30 in total, between Angolans and Cubans, will help meet the demand.

 

 
He also said that the area of paediatrics has just received more specialist doctors, who will help to reduce child mortality that is accentuated in the district.

 


The Cuban doctors specialising in internal medicine were distributed in different areas of the hospital, according to the specialty of each doctor, being paediatrics, obstetrics, operating room, casualty ward, surgery and other.
