Health Ministry to run seminar on maternal mortality


Luanda - A workshop on the main causes of maternal mortality in the country, particularly in Luanda, will be held on May 28 here, as part of the celebrations of the International Day of Action for Women Health (May 28), ANGOP learned Monday.

 
According to the chairperson of the Council, Evelize Fresta, the seminar will look into the causes and prevention of maternal mortality in Angola, particularly in Luanda, as one of the main concerns of the Angolan Government.

 
The Local Council of Health Women is an organisation articulated with the social and non-profit Munakazi Mwene Association that deals with actions of promotion of behaviours and healthy lifestyle.


It aims to contribute to the development of women, improvement and exchange of information with public and private associations based in the country or abroad, working to fight for the search of the highest interests, protection and promotion of females.
