Ministry launches municipal health services project

Luanda - The Ministry of Health launched on Thursday here the Project for the Reinforcement of Municipal Health Services (PRSMS).


The project, jointly promoted by Ministry of Health, World Bank and Total E&P Angola, aims to contribute to the reduction of maternal and infant mortality rate in the country.


Angop learnt that this project is in line with the Executive Programme for the health sector and Integrated Municipal Programme for the Rural Development and Fighting against Poverty.


Speaking to Angop, the interim director for health, nutrition and population of African region of World Bank, Jean-Jacques said that the project reflects on the objectives of the Angolan Executive for social justice and health betterment of population.


The total cost of project is valued at USD 91.8 million.
