Over 300 babies born in 2011 in Namacunde

Namacunde - The maternity hospital of the Namacunde Municipal Hospital, in Cunene Province, recorded from January to December 2011 the birth of 357 babies, less than 34 births in the same period in 2010.

According to the director of the health division of the town, Dominica Ndesipupata, from the total number of births 17 were stillborn.

She explained to ANGOP that in the period in reference the institution transferred to the Central Hospital of Ondjiva six parturient women, because they had complications during delivery, in order to be submitted to caesarean sections.
