Luanda- The general director of the Americo Boavida Hospital (HAB), Constantina Fortunato, has said in Luanda that the need to create a casualty ward in the paediatric section comes from the fact that 64 percent of the emergency cases involve children

Speaking at the inauguration of the resuscitation room, the director said that the board of the HAB prioritised this installation as a strategic restructuring, as they have identified a major cause of infant mortality.

 
She added that the paediatric area already existed since 2007, as a necessity of the Ministry of Health.

The Constantina Fortunato stressed that the project came about and managed to reach this stage because it got an investment from the Angolan Investment Bank (BAI), with high technology msterial.
