Health presents techniques to control endemic diseases

Luanda - A pilot project on the application of technologies based on cell phones in the production of quality indicators of health was presented today in Luanda by the National Department of Public Health, in a ceremony chaired by the deputy minister of Health, Evelize Frestas.

 
The project aims to prevent the increase of malaria cases in the provinces, how to make a better management of medicines and mosquito-nets distributed in the various health facilities.

 
The technology will also allow at the level of municipalities, to gather epidemiological data, enabling monitor what is happening in relation to endemic diseases.

 
 According to the deputy minister, it is a system with the latest technology for low cost and easy to use, making it a tool of cost and benefit.
 

According to Evelize Frestas, it is known that few countries are using this approach and the session is obviously welcome, because the challenges posed to the development of Angola, the struggle against poverty and the revitalization of municipal health services need to be innovative to simplify the management process of health policy makers at various levels and to foster interaction with communities.
