Students, teachers urged to join sensitisation on hiv/Aids

Luanda - Teachers and students were urged to join sensitisation and monitoring rogrammes on serious endemic diseases, such as hiv/Aids, malaria and
tuberculosis, ANGOP has learnt.

The recommendation comes from the focal points of the Ministry of Education linked to the
strategic plan of fight against hiv/Aids and great endemic illnesses.

According to the focal points gathered in a seminar since Monday, there is also the need for
the development of works in the updating of human resources so that they can meet the
sensitisation challenges of hiv/Aids and the mentioned illnesses.

Speaking to ANGOP, the consultant of the Ministry of Education, Gabriela Cohen, that is
chairing the workshop, said the act is serving to identify the strong points and the weaknesses of the projects for a positive implementation in the various points of the country.

The initiative of the strategic plan of fight against hiv/Aids and great endemic illnesses of the
educative sector dates back from 2006.

Currently it is being analysed the need to do a study on the revision and improvement of the
execution of recommended decisions.
