Luanda - Angola is facing a major public health challenge following the increase of communicable and non-communicable diseases, with emphasis to chronic degenerative diseases and traumatisms resulting from road accidents and domestic violence.
The fact was stressed Friday in Luanda by director of the National Medical Emergency Institute of Angola (INEMA), Eustaquio Gomes while speaking at a closing ceremony of upgrading course, under the topic "Basic Support of Life".
The training was designed to health technicians, under the project "upgrading focussed on techniques to provide pre-hospital service.
According to director, the estimates points to a significant increase of the cases in the country which need urgent and emergency services.
To officials called for commitment to the permanent upgrading courses for professionals.
The ten-month event gathered 182 technicians, among physicians, nurses, fire-fight members and national police.
