Death rate reduces in Kilenda municipal hospital

Kilenda - The expansion of health services in rural areas and awareness campaigns in communities contributed to the reduction of death rate in the municipal hospital of Kilenda, central Kwanza Sul province.

This was said to Angop this Monday by the director of the referred hospital, Paulo Andre.

According to him, the death rate fell from 37 in 2010 to 23 in 2011.

He said diseases such as malaria, diarrhoea and injuries caused by road accident are the main causes of death.

The municipal hospital of Kilenda has 40 nurses, one laboratory technician and two physicians.
