Kuito – Bié Province’s vice governor for social and political matters, Carlos Ulombe da Silva, on Thursday in Kuito City urged for more efforts and responsibility from health officials in implementing health programmes in districts.
In an interview to ANGOP, the deputy minister urged managers of the districts of Kuito, Andulo, Kunhinga, Katabola, Kamacupa, Nhârea, Chitembo, Chinguar and Kuemba to work hard in the implementation of the programme and, consequently, guaranteeing and improving health services in the region.
Carlos Ulombe da Silva, guaranteed that the provincial government will continue to provide financial support to the District Health Programme.
The amount allowed the construction of more centres and health posts, residence for nurses, purchase of ambulances, procurement of essential drugs and disposable material, among other facilities for medical care.
