Luanda – A delegation of Israeli physicians will visit from 9 to 11 November the David Bernardino Paediatric Hospital of Luanda, to learn of the health condition of children that underwent surgery in Israel.
According to a statement from the Art and Culture Foundation, which ANGOP had access to, the initiative is part of a protocol signed between the LR Group and the Israeli non governmental organisation Save a Child’s Heart.
According to the document, so far the project has already benefited 70 Angolan children that suffered from heart disease and were interned in Luanda’s Paediatric Hospital.
The statement stresses that as part of this interchange there has been contacts between Israeli and Angolan physicians, with the aim of transmitting knowledge on diagnosis and screening.
The last group of six children left for Israel in January of 2010, having returned healthy after receiving medical assistance at Wolfson Hospital, in the Jewish state.
