Health minister chairs panel on obstetrics and neonatal cares

Malabo – The Angolan Health minister, José Van-Dúnem, is going to chair on Friday the 60th session of the World Health Organisation for Africa (WHO/AFRO) during the discussion of the panel on “Universal Access to Emergency Obstetrics and Neonatal Cares
(EMONC)” in the general framework of the implementation of Ouagadougo Declaration on  primary cares and health system.
 

The debates are comprised by representatives of Burkina Faso, who will lecture on his country’s experience on EMONC intensification and of Sri Lanka that will talk about the  acceleration of the Millennium Development Goals.

 


Meanwhile, the 60th session of WHO/AFRO is ending on Friday with the approval of the  report of the regional committee.


 
The next 61st regional committee will take place in Cote d’Ivoire in 2011.
