Malabo - Angola will host the 62nd session of the World Health Organization Regional Committee for Africa (WHO/AFRO), to be held in 2012, angolan health minister, Jose Van-Dunem, announced today.

The minister told Angop that, by hosting the meeting, Angola will gain greater visibility as it will take advantage to show what the government has been doing towards social, economic and human development.

He stressed the angolans' satisfaction in hosting the meeting of an international institution chaired by an angolan national adding that it will be a stimulus to angolan health officials who will take the opportunity to present their deeds in health assistance.

The WHO regional committee for Africa gathers the health ministers of the 46 african member states and direct the policies, approve the budget and the program of activities of the organization for the region.
