Malabo - The World Health Organization (WHO) Africa Regional Director, angolan Luis Gomes Sambo, was honoured today in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, with the Paul Harris prize, by Rotary International, for his commitment to the erradication of polio desease in
Africa.

 

The prize, a medal and a diploma, was delivered by Jean Jack, member of Rotary International on the sidelines of the 60th WHO/AFRO meeting. 

 

Rotary International has over 1,2 million members distriduted in 35,000 Clubs worldwide and the Paul Harris is intended to honour people committed to the erradication of poliomielitis and  to other humanitarian actions.
