Over 90,000 children vaccinated against polio


Sumbe – At least 95,000 children under five years of age were immunized in Kwanza Sul province during the second vaccination campaign against poliomyelitis held on August 13-15.


 
Speaking to Angop this Monday, the provincial supervisor of the Enlarged Vaccination Programme (PAV), Israel Mussili, mentioned that this information are yet provisional because there are not yet data of the third day and of some districts.


 
The same source said that during the campaign were also administered to 64,000 children vitamin A and 60,000 with albendazol to prevent them from blindness and intestinal parasites.
