Treatment of children with heart problem set for August

Luanda - Another group of Angolan children is due to travel in the first fortnight of August to Israel to undergo heart treatment at a time that returns to country six children that have been cured of some diseases in the Jewish State.

 

The information was released on Thursday to Angop by the general manager of the Foundation LR/Art and Culture, Jorge Marques who said that conditions are created so that ‘’the journey of hope’’ happens.

 

Jorge Mendes said that the six children were in the capital of Israel, Jerusalem, under treatment since last May and the number of children benefiting from the project “Save Child's Heart” of that foundation rose to 48.

 

The official added that the group LR/Art and Culture has a partnership with the hospital "David Bernardino" and they are creating condition to treat the children in the country and to get these goals they are expecting ten cardiologists to work in Luanda where the number of children with heart problems rise to 600 according to a report from the David Bernardino hospital.

 

”There is no project more important to us than to save children heart” he said.

 

The non-profit project aims to provide healthy life and possibility of a happy future to all these children.

 

There is an intention to extend the project giving Angolan doctors opportunity to share experiences with Israeli colleagues in order to deliver more and better services.
