Chongoroi – At least 46 cases of dog bites were registered in the first half of this year by the health services of Chongoroi District, near Benguela City, ten more compared to the same period last year.

According to the coordinator of Public Health Programme, Eduardo César, from the persons that were bitten, 30 are children who besides the rabies vaccine have also been vaccinated against tetanus.

César Eduardo guaranteed that the hospital has enough medicines to immunise against dog bites.

Meanwhile, the official praised the fact that victims come to the hospital whenever they are bitten by rabid dogs.
