Former students in Cuba donate blood in Bié Province

Kuito  -  Members of the association of former students in Cuba, also known as "Caimaneros", on Tuesday donated blood to the main hospital of the Central Bié Province, ANGOP has learnt.

The donation is part of the commemorations of the 57th anniversary of the Attack on Moncada Barracks, in Cuba, and aims at saving human lives.

Caimaneros chief in Bié, Felizardo Brito Kapepulo, said to the press that under the same festivities the association also donated goods to an Elderly Home, it was held a charity gala for the children of Camacupa District and lectures on the importance of the date.

A source of the hospital said it has enough conditions to conserve the blood and called on other institutions to follow this gesture.
