Deputy Health minister recognises greater co-ordination

Luanda - Angola's deputy minister of Health, Ecelize Fresta, Friday in Luanda recognised the existence of a great co-ordination in the synchronised actions in the fight against poliomyelitis at common borders of  African countries, mainly those in the Southern region, Angop has learnt.

 

The official said so when speaking at the closing of the 6th meeting of the poliomyelitis technical advising group with the participation of Angola, Namibia, Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia, held in Luanda.

 

According to her, although some progress ha s been recorded in the polio eradication programme, there are still some challenges that must be overcame, in order to arrest the circulation of the virus and reach eradication.
