Portugal interested in strengthening health relations with Angola

Luanda – The Portuguese ambassador to Angola, Francisco Ribeiro Teles, expressed on Thursday his country’s willingness to strengthen and diversify the co-operation with Angola in the health field.

 

This was said to ANGOP by the Portuguese diplomat on the fringes of the 6th International Congress of Angolan Physicians that is happening until Friday, in Luanda.

 

According to him, Portugal has various projects underway in the health sector, but it intends to reinforce more the co-operation in this field, as this is the most fundamental area for the development of Angola and well-being of the population.

 

Francisco Ribeiro Teles said that Portuguese, as a common idiom, constitutes a facilitating element for bilateral contacts and an added value for the implementation of accords.

 

The ambassador expressed his satisfaction at the high number of physicians and other Portuguese medical experts who are attending the conference, highlighting that it shows well the friendship and interest of both peoples in improving their co-operation relations and
identify new partnership areas.
