Red Cross supplies 136,000 condoms

Ondjiva – About 136,828 condoms were freely distributed from June to December 2009 in the municipalities of Namacunde, Ombadja and Kwanhama, in southern Cunene province, by the Angolan Red Cross.

 

According to a report from the Red Cross that reached Angop the initiative aims to prevent HIV/AIDS spread in the southern province.

 

Beside condoms the offer also includes 793 books, 315,669 pamphlets and ere held 7,966 meetings to sensitize the people on the disease.
