Over 5,000 pets to be vaccinated in Bengo

 Caxito – About 5,000 animals, among dogs, cats and monkeys will be vaccinated against rabies in northern province of Bengo under a campaign that opened  Friday at Bula-Atumba district.


Speaking to Angop on the fringes of the opening of local chief of the veterinarian services, Capitão Cabonde, said that technical and material conditions are created for the start of the campaign in the eight districts of the province with more than 5,000 doses of vaccines.


The official appealed to people to participate in the campaign taking their animals to the vaccination posts.


Last year, the veterinarian department did not register any death of rabies and 3,272 animals were vaccinated.
