Health minister pleased with diamond firm contribution

Saurimo - Angolan Health minister, José Van-Dúnem, Thursday in Saurimo city, eastern Lunda Sul province, expressed satisfaction at Catoca-Mining Society (SMC) contribution to medical assistance to local residents.


The minister expressed so after a visit he paid to the diamond mining exploration company, located 30 km from the provincial capital, Saurimo.


"I am pleased with Catoca contribution intended to benefit the local population in terms of existing resources", stressed the minister.


During the visit, José Van-Dúnem was also briefed on the vaccination campaigns to pregnant women and in fertile phase.


He also was informed on fighting against malaria, HIV/AIDS and the expansion of
mother-to-child transmission programme.
