Luanda
First health newspaper launched

 


Luanda – The first health newspaper “Jornal da Saúde de Angola”, which will publish health issues, was launched today in Luanda, part of celebration of International Kidney Day.

 


A joint initiative by the Health Ministry (Minsa) and Angola Doctors Order (OMA), the 21,000-copies newspaper, apart from being a means of information for health staff will also keep the population informed on various care for preventing diseases.

 


The free monthly publication will bring as headline, in its first edition, a title honouring women, at a time that is being commemorated women month, an interview with Health minister, José Van-Dúnem, as well as advice on how to treat water.

 


This newspaper aims also at contributing to the reduction of existing health inequality among the population and secure equality of opportunities and resources.
