People urged to vaccinate pets against rabies

Luanda - Over 700,000 pets will be vaccinated against rabies during the vaccination campaign opened last friday, Angop learned today.

 

Speaking at the end of the interministerial meeting which assessed the epidemiological  surveillance of the H1N1 flu and the rabies situation in Angola, health minister, José Van-dunem, urged pet owners to vaccinate their dogs, cats and monkeys against the disease. 


 
According to the minister Luanda is the rabies most hit province with nine cases since January,  follwed by Huambo (4), Bie (3), Kwanza Norte (2) and Benguela (1).
