Over 700 children vaccinated against measles in Cuvelai

 

Cuvelai – At least 770 children with less than five years of age were vaccinated this year against measles, by the Public Health Department in the Cuvelai district, southern Cunene province.


According to the local supervisor of the Broad Vaccination Programme (PAV), José Tibério, children received also vaccine against polio, adding that during the same period about 103 pregnant women got immunized against tetanus.


Comprising four villages (Cubaty, Mukolongo, Mupa and Kalonga), Cuvelai is located 171 kilometres east to Ondjiva city, capital of Cunene province.
